Winter is for Billy. In the vineyard, Winter is restorative. While the vines lay dormant sustainable growers work to revitalize the land. At the winery, our barrels enter their long aging period, and I am finally offered a moment to reflect. Winter gives me pause to consider just how fortunate I am. Fortunate to have found my path. Fortunate to be able to share my craft with all of you, and fortunate for the many blessings of friends and family. For me, Billy’s Blend represents time. The passing of time as I learn with each new vintage. Having patience with a grape like Cabernet is important because its story can be long. Happy Canyon is just beginning to show its promise with these great varieties, and I promise, if given the chance, I truly believe the same can be said of each of our wonderful wines. Team Notes: A bold and beautiful wine that will continue to evolve overtime. We like to joke, name your favorite berry, and you'll taste it in this wine... except for Strawberry which is ironically Billy's favorite. Along with ripe berries, we taste star anise, baker's spice, toasted marshmallow and browned butter. There is plenty of blackberry jam with a great juxtaposition of dryness and vanilla tannin wine that we love to enjoy with Bistecca alla Fiorentina or a Filet Mignon with a Blackberry Balsamic Reduction.

Our founder and winemaker, Billy, has lovingly curated a list of four wines in honor of each member of his family in an effort to transport you -at least sensationally- to another dimension... Everything about this program is thoughtfully done with only 100 cases of each wine produced annually.
